QUICK CHECKS
General fixing & care
- Set out
- Use the approved installation schedule and fixing detail for identification and roof-access signs. Mark and level each position.
- Prepare
- Use a clean, dry, suitable surface. Check compatibility between the substrate, panel, tape, adhesive and environment; bare concrete or timber may need sealing.
- Fix
- Standard panels have double-sided tape and need additional suitable adhesive. Tape is not a universal structural fixing. Follow the manufacturer’s pressure, temperature, curing and load instructions; overhead, exposed or structural mounting needs the project fixing detail.
- Care
- Remove guide marks and protective film. Use a soft cloth and a cleaner approved for the panel/finish; avoid abrasion and unapproved solvents. Check healthcare, chemical, pool and outdoor cleaning conditions.
Film and lettering
- Privacy film: measure coverage, clean each pane with a compatible cleaner, follow the supplier’s wet/dry method, squeegee from the centre and trim neatly. Allow the specified cure before cleaning. Required vision-strip placement is in Access Braille.
- Cut vinyl: check the receiving surface and use the supplied application instructions. Remove transfer film carefully without lifting the lettering.
